Students in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies volunteered during the Healthy Living in Loudoun Day event on April 30.
The event, hosted by Whole Foods Market in Ashburn, included nutrition seminars, cooking demonstrations, fitness activities, and health screenings.
The students, who are in Sina Gallo’s micronutrients class, presented a series of workshops on micronutrient requirements across different stages of the lifecycle, from pregnancy and preschool/school-aged children to adolescents, adults, and seniors.
